What a thrill for the Screech Owls, a Canadian Pee Wee hockey team, to be competing at the International Goodwill Tournament in Sweden. They find a bigger challenge off the ice, however, when they are caught in the middle of a kidnapping.

| What I Liked | I liked how the author expressed Travis's feelings about being scared of the puck and representing his own country- CANADA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
|
What I Felt About the Main Character |
Travis was a cool guy. I guess he loved playing hockey and would give up almost anything to play in the N.H.L He liked solving mysteries too and he is the main reason I might vote for this book. |
| The Novel was | suspenseful |
| I Chose This Word | When they were trying to get out of the castle or the Russian's hideout the questions in my head were "Will they get out" "How will they" "Was the mob going to kill them". |
| The Author might change | NOTHING |
|
New Information I Learned |

|
What I Felt About the Main Character |
I thought Nish was pretty cool. He scored the winning goal for the Screech Owls. Without his greasy hair the team wouldn't have been able to get free from that Gold Tooth guy. |
| The Novel was | suspenseful |
| I Chose This Word | The book was not only suspensful, it was funny. |
| The Author might change | I think the author should make the books a little more challenging and longer. |

| What I Liked | I liked the part of the book when Sarah used the grease from Nish's hair to get the rope that was holding her wrists together off. I liked this part because it was very funny but also very clever. |
|
What I Felt About the Main Character |
I didn't think Travis was being a very good leader or he wouldn't have let his teammates sneak out of the hotel even when they knew they were putting themselves in danger. I also thought that he did a very good job of using his head to free them from the castle. |
| The Novel was | humorous |
| I Chose This Word | I thought that it was humorous in many parts of the story. For example the call that Nish created {eee-aw-kee}. I also thought it was a little suspensful. The author, Roy MacGregor, always left me hanging. |
| The Author might change | I don't really think the author could change anything to make the book better. |
|
New Information I Learned |
I didn't really learn anything from this book except that it doesn't matter who you are or where you are, you always have to be careful. |

| What I Liked | I liked the part when he called for the owls on the ice. The reason why I liked that part is because I think it's really great to be able to have an interest and know so much about owls. |
|
What I Felt About the Main Character |
I think that Nish was a caring person who loved the wild animals and never would want to hurt them. |
| The Novel was | suspenseful |
| I Chose This Word | The reason why I chose suspenseful is because I never knew they were going to be saved. The reason I did not know they were going to be saved is because in some books like Hatchet there were carry on's. |
| The Author might change | YES!!! The beginning should be more exciting. |
|
New Information I Learned |
Not really! |

| What I Liked | My favourite part of this book was when Nish used Swedish hair gel to make himself look like Borje Salming and by accident it saved them twice. |
|
What I Felt About the Main Character |
One of the characters I liked was Sarah. The reason I liked her was because of when the Screech Owl team played their last game and she had injured wrists but she kept playing. |
| The Novel was | suspenseful |
| I Chose This Word | The reason I thought this book was suspenseful was because of when they got kidnapped and they were escaping it was a real pageturner. |
| The Author might change | I found this novel very interesting and exciting. There was nothing I thought that should be changed. |
|
